For more than three decades, Windsor’s exclusive Vero Beach sporting-club community has offered sophisticated living on 472 lush acres nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River. Originally a small enclave for family and friends of its founders, this renowned luxury—and new urbanist—private community has grown to encompass more than 350 homes in its unspoiled setting.

Its uniquely enchanting lifestyle came about through the vision of founders W. Galen and Hilary M. Weston of Toronto, Canada. Over the past 30 years, the Westons have been personally involved in every detail of creating their “village by the sea.” Now Windsor has embarked on the final phase of its development with the addition of the sustainability-focused North Village.

The last remaining undeveloped portion of Windsor is a 47-acre swath of land adjacent to the banks of the Indian River Lagoon. The thoughtfully crafted master plan for the North Village calls for 40 residences, an array of wellness-focused amenities, and green spaces. Advanced sustainable design will minimize negative impacts on the environment and protect the land and the wildlife living there.

In keeping with the classic, yet design-forward strategy for which Windsor is recognized, single-family residential homesites and a select number of Row Houses will offer Members the opportunity to create a bespoke home that provides tranquility within a vibrant community. The North Village will also feature a new 14,000-square-foot Fitness and Wellness Centre, scenic trails, a bird hide, and a series of artist- and architect-designed pavilions. Sales were slated to launch in the fourth quarter of 2022.

The new neighborhood is a crowning achievement for the exclusive, architecturally distinctive private community that features a diverse array of custom oceanfront, fairway-front, and village homes as well as a links-style 18-hole golf course by Robert Trent Jones Jr., an Equestrian Centre with a polo field, a Tennis Centre by Stan Smith, a recently renovated Beach Club, and world-class dining.
