Kohler is adding a sixth golf course to the fold—a 14-hole layout from King Collins Dormer anticipated to open in the fall of 2027. Joining the Wisconsin destination’s four acclaimed 18-hole Pete Dye designs and The Baths, a 10-hole par-3 course that opened in 2021, Purebred Farm will be situated on 47 acres west of the Meadow Valleys course. The walking-only, “alternative golf experience,” planned at approximately 4,900 yards, will feature a mix of Golden Age-inspired par threes, fours, and fives playing through prairie, farmland, and river valleys, while offering multiple loops that allow players to choose their own adventures.

The first phase of a 36-hole master-planned development about 60 miles northwest of Hanoi is rolling out in early 2026. The new course from Greg Norman Golf Course Design plays through undulating, forested terrain and around a series of eight lakes, with multi-tiered greens, challenging bunkers, flexible tee-boxes, and long, wide fairways. Its 18 holes are said to be inspired by the 18 Hung Kings—the perceived founders of the Vietnamese civilization—with each representing a historical story or cultural landmark. The club will also have a hotel, event venue, golf academy, and restaurant.

Construction of a new private golf course has begun on 270-acre site eight miles west of 2017 U.S. Open venue Erin Hills. Targeting a fall 2027 open date, the 7,600-yard layout is a collaboration of architect Scott Hoffman, Jackson Kahn Design, and 12-time PGA Tour winner Steve Stricker, with the “ambition of joining the ranks of America’s top 100.” Set within a nature preserve, the course will navigate rolling woodlands, wetlands, and grasslands and feature fast, undulating greens and deep, sculpted bunkers. While there is no real estate component, Kettle Forge will have a clubhouse with a fine-dining restaurant and wellness spa, a pond for premium fishing, shooting ranges, trails for walking and biking, and access to an off-site game farm for pheasant hunting.

One of the world’s largest city developments will add a new public course from Faldo Design in 2026, according to Golf Course Architecture. Qiddiya City’s 18-hole layout is located on wide-open space below the towering 650-foot-tall cliffs of the Tuwaiq Mountains, 22 miles southwest of Saudi Arabia’s capital city, Riyadh. The routing interacts with a network of dry riverbeds, with three six-hole loops that return players to a central clubhouse. Added elements, including a short course and practice facilities featuring an academy and double-sided driving range, are anticipated to be complete by 2028.

Storm KingCornwall, N.Y.

A new 63-acre private golf facility is set to debut in spring 2026 about 60 miles north of New York City. A redesign of a 9-hole course with views of Storm King Mountain and the Catskills, Storm King is a “configurable golf experience” with more than 50 unique hole possibilities. Players can choose from five distinct 9-hole routings or a 19-hole par-3 layout, using the 225,000 square feet of greens—which include one quad green, two triple, three double, and four single greens—and more than 30 multi-directional tee locations. While maintaining a small membership, Storm King will also rent out to foundations, companies, and select groups.
