Is a Trump London Golf Course in the Works?

One month from today, Donald Trump will become our 45th U.S. President and will, he assures us, be divested from his myriad business interests. In the meantime, he still has his eye on possible golf course acquisitions.

Recent reports in the British media, including London’s Daily Mail newspaper, claim the Trump Organization has made an overture to Stoke Park, an exclusive private club in the London area. Best known as the site where a scene of the 1964 James Bond movie Goldfinger was filmed, Stoke Park is privately owned by the King family, and although the course is not publicly on the market, the family is said to be aware of Trump’s interest. The Donald already owns two marquee courses in Turnberry and Aberdeen, Scotland, as well as Doonbeg in Ireland.

Could we now see a Trump London? Don’t bet against it.
