Ever wonder what it would be like to caddie for a professional golfer? Well, Sergio Garcia is going to let a fan experience it for himself.
U.K. resident Mark Johnson will caddie for Garcia on the Wednesday Pro-Am at the BMW PGA Championship in September. The story behind how this all came about will be one Johnson will be telling his grandkids some day.
It started with this tweet to Garcia from Johnson in July of 2016:
@TheSergioGarcia you’re my number one golfer please can I caddie for you when your caddie can’t make it cheers 🏌👍
— Mark Johnson (@markjohno6969) July 7, 2016
From there, Johnson tweeted to Garcia once a day for 206 straight days. On the 206th day, Johnson found this in his mentions:
Ok @markjohno6969 I think I found the perfect day for you to get a taste of carrying my bag & make your dream come true! Are you ready? 😉

In one of the many tweets Johnson sent Garcia, he said Sergio didn’t even have to pay him, so we aren’t sure if there will be any compensation for the day’s work. Either way, Mark Johnson will be carrying the bag of Sergio Garcia for a day inside the ropes.
