Rickie Fowler once called the Seminole Member-Pro event the season’s “first major.” One look at the names on the final scorecards from this year’s event, and if it’s not the first major of the season, it’s certainly one of the strongest fields of this young season.
Traditionally played the Monday after the Honda Classic (or the Monday of Doral week before the Honda found its spot in the rotation) at the famed Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach, FL, the one-day, unofficial, event partners some of the best professional golfers in the world with members of the club. Just how deep was this year’s event? Well, after finishing second in the Low Gross and Low Net competitions with partner Mark Loomis, Steve Flesch posted pictures of the score sheets:
Great day at Seminole Pro-Member. Think I picked up some much needed World Ranking Points too! 👍 pic.twitter.com/keLY7V80By

Just look at some of those names! Rickie, Rory, DJ, Adam Scott, Justin Rose, and those are just the names on the first page. As you can see, Rose and his partner Seth Waugh won the Net division, while, in what could possibly be deemed the upset of the century, professional Bo Hoag and partner Alan Fadel won the Gross division. Hoag has played only three PGA Tour and four web.com Tour events since turning professional in 2011.
