Rickie Fowler won the Honda Classic this week at PGA National, besting Morgan Hoffmann and Gary Woodland by four shots. That much we know. What you might not have heard about though, is what happened to Tour rookie J.T. Poston earlier in the week.
Poston, who is playing his rookie season on the PGA Tour after finishing 10th on the Web.com Tour last season. He was making his Honda Classic debut this week, and at least one person at the valet stand at PGA National had an interesting way of welcoming him.
Walking to my car at PGA National and got asked by a man if I worked with valet. Before I could answer he hands me the keys. #playbetter

Turns out that J.T. wasn’t the only one on Tour that has had that happen to him. Fellow Tour pro chimed in with his own story:
@jt_poston @NickFMackay haha. My first year out there another player (name rhymes with o’fair) thought I was a valet driver. #playbetter

For what it’s worth, Poston finished in a tie for 27th at 2-under for the week.
