Jordan Spieth defeated Daniel Berger on the first playoff hole at the Travelers Championship on Sunday. He won the event in his first trip to TPC River Highlands, and by now there’s a good chance you have already seen the shot and his celebration.

What you might have missed though, was his good friend and fellow PGA Tour pro Justin Thomas correctly predicting the bunker shot.
Just minutes before the shot went in, Thomas sent this tweet out:
Wouldn’t be surprised if @JordanSpieth just holed this bunker shot

Spieth had this to say when ESPN’s Jason Sobel brought up the tweet after the round:
Jordan Spieth on this tweet: “Well, if you call it enough times, eventually you’ll get one right.” https://t.co/LlDbV6DZQK

As crazy as that entire sequence was, it wasn’t the first time Spieth has holed a bunker shot for a Tour win.
Spieth holed his bunker shot on the 72nd hole at the 2013 John Deere Classic to force a playoff. He would go on to win in a playoff for his first win on the PGA Tour.
