To say it has been an emotional 36 hours in the Horschel household would be an understatement.
On Sunday, Billy Horschel outlasted Jason Day on the first playoff hole of the AT&T Byron Nelson for his first win sine 2014. That led to not only an emotional moment from Billy on the course, but also this adorable video of his daughter Skylar cheering him on:

On Monday, Billy’s wife, Brittany Horschel, shed some light into why the victory was so emotional for everyone in the family:

Brittany shared with her over 2,000 followers that she has been battling alcoholism for the past year. During that time, she spent two-months in a treatment facility while Billy continued to compete on Tour and care for their daughter.
At the time of his win Sunday, Billy didn’t go into much detail, only saying, “Life gets in the way sometimes. I’m not able to talk about it right now. But it’s just a lot of stuff happened in the last year and this is just – this is nice.”
Horschel is in the published field for this week’s Dean & Deluca Invitational.
