Fred Couples is back for his 32nd Masters this week after sitting out last year with back problems.
But he certainly wasn’t idle while rehabilitating his back during most of last year.
The first Fred Couples Signature Golf Course in Los Cabos, Mexico, has broken ground at the Twin Dolphin Golf Club. Scheduled to open in late 2018 with ocean views from every hole, the course is set inside the 1,400-acre master-planned community of Twin Dolphin.
Couples, who is working with the architect of record, Todd Eckenrode of Origins Golf Design, says, “We want this to be a course that all players enjoy. It will vary in length with multiple sets of tees, undulating greens, dramatic elevation changes, impeccable fairways and natural bunkering,”
The course will also feature some pretty cool amenities to go along with its ocean views. They will include on-course food and drink options served by an on-course service staff. That sounds like just the touch you would expect from someone who’s the walking definition of cool.
The new Couples course will be available to residential owners within the Twin Dolphin community, such as at Maravilla Los Cabos and Montage Residences Los Cabos, as well as to guests at Montage Los Cabos.
