“The road to success is always under construction,” says Addison Reserve CEO and General Manager Michael J. McCarthy. No one knows this better. This prestigious South Florida community and club is recognized as No. 5 out of the top 150 country clubs in the country, and at No. 25 in the world by Platinum Clubs of the World. They didn’t achieve that status by standing still.

In the fall of 2019, Addison Reserve opened its new 35,000-square-foot Lifestyle Complex. The hallmark of the complex is the resort-style pool that is surrounded by green spaces, The Spa, the two-story Fitness Center, tennis and pickleball courts, basketball court, and The Grill casual-dining restaurant. There is a separate children’s splash pool and adjacent game room with attractions for all ages. An emphasis on health and wellness was the catalyst for this project and members overwhelmingly have lauded the facilities and aesthetics of the outdoor environment.

Just two years later, they completed an innovative “refresh” of their Clubhouse. Melding traditional design with contemporary stylings, they created classic and inviting spaces, including a full-wall waterfall in the lobby. In keeping with the aesthetics of the Lifestyle Complex, there are comfortable seating areas, lushly appointed dining venues, and card rooms for members to enjoy.

The grand 70,000-square-foot Clubhouse features the stYr lounge and terrace with indoor and outdoor bar and table seating; Taste dining room; two private dining rooms, El Solano and Floresta; the magnificent wine room, Vault; men’s and ladies’ card rooms; and the Golf Shop. Steps away from the Clubhouse is their signature waterfall overlooking the practice facilities and bocce courts.

In May 2023, the first phase of a complete restoration of the three championship golf courses will commence. Famed architect Rees Jones will oversee the restoration that includes infrastructure improvements, aesthetic additions, an interactive golf component, and added Food and Beverage outlet.
