Rose Hall—Montego Bay, Jamaica: Whoever decided that a dozen roses was the go-to gift was just plain unimaginative. Instead, book a visit to Rose Hall near Montego Bay. Stay in the all-inclusive Hyatt Ziva and play the two excellent courses in the area: Cinnamon Hill and the White Witch. Both are hilly, scenic, and full of surprises.

Ritz Carlton Golf Resort—Naples, Fla.: As a guest of the Ritz here, you can play both courses at celebrated Tiburón Golf Club, where you can reserve clubs, shoes, and navigate your round on a GolfBoard. After golf, head to the Ritz’s neighboring beach resort and do some parasailing or waverunning in the Gulf of Mexico, or just chill by the heated saltwater pools.

Boulders Resort & Spa—Carefree, Ariz.: Nestled in the Sonoran Desert just outside Scottsdale, the Boulders is an oasis that just exudes romance. Book a cozy casita. Play the two outstanding Jay Morrish courses that wind their way through spectacular granite rock formations. Then top it all off with a couple’s massage in the spectacular spa.

Jekyll Island Club Resort—Jekyll Island, Ga.: Part of the appeal of Jekyll Island is that it’s not just a resort destination—it’s a state park where you can go hiking, biking, horseback riding, and of course, play golf. Choose from three 18-hole courses and the nine-hole Great Dunes course (designed by the great Walter Travis).

Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka’an—Cancun, Mexico: This Rivera Maya resort is a luxurious, all-inclusive, adults-only enclave where you can play on the 18-hole or nine-hole course at Riviera Maya Golf Club one day and explore ancient Mayan ruins the next. With four restaurants and five bars, you’ll want for nothing.

Four Seasons Resort Lanai—Lanai City, Hawaii: Romantic resorts that offer great golf are a dime a dozen in the Aloha State, but this is the only one that’s within easy walking distance of Sweetheart Rock (cited as a great place to propose, for what it’s worth). The Manele Bay course here—a coastal adventure built on lava outcroppings—serves up spectacular vistas, and the rest of the resort more than earns its five diamonds.

Bali National Golf Club—Nusa Dua, Indonesia: Bali National is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful and enjoyable golf courses in the Asia-Pacific region. The Nusa Dua area offers a choice of luxury hotels (the St. Regis Bali Resort being a standout)—or for even more privacy you can stay in one of the club’s golf villas. Tour temples, jungles, and volcanoes, or just stroll hand-in-hand along the oceanfront promenade.

Breezy Point Resort—Breezy Point, Minn.: Some people love winter almost as much as they do their mates. For them, Breezy Point Resort offers a “Capture the Romance” package that includes lodging in a Whirlpool Suite, breakfast, dinner, and a wine and beer reception—all for a great off-season price. Its nine-hole snow golf course on the lake is just one of many great outdoor amenities. FYI: your own heated, two-person ice-fishing hut is another.

Disney World—Orlando, Fla.: If your partner isn’t that into golf, fear not. Everyone will enjoy the two seasonally themed courses at Winter Summerland Mini Golf at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park. Disney World offers four solid regulation courses, too—along with all the other rides and attractions that make visiting the Magic Kingdom and its other parks a love affair with fun.

Top Golf—54 U.S. Locations: Not everyone has the time or money to jet off to an exotic destination for a weekend. Reserve a bay for the big night, have some flowers delivered, order up a bottle of bubbly, and you’ll be guaranteed a swinging time.
