Island Hopping

Ranking the five islands of the paradise that is Hawaii

There is really no other location in the United States where it is possible to re-create the unique settings for golf that Hawaii provides. Nowhere else can you play through a lush, green rain forest or atop a field of black lava.

While the Hawaiian archipelago may seem like one big paradise, savvy island hoppers know that the islands are not created equal. So we have ranked the Aloha State’s five main islands based on five criteria: golf, lodging, scenery, activities and the lei factor (how distinctively Hawaiian the island is).
