Robert Trent Jones Jr.’s 1991 design for the University of Wisconsin helped launch the recent trend of big-name architects going back to school to build college courses. Sitting on a ridge formed by a glacier, the rolling layout that is one of the best public courses in the state now measures 7,259 yards following a renovation that was completed last year.
