Robert Trent Jones Sr. began his long, prolific golf architecture career at Cornell, where he created his own path of study, choosing courses from different departments. After graduating in 1930, Trent Jones designed nine holes for his alma mater before returning to add a second nine that was completed in 1954. The course has been the site of many events, including the 1961 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship.
