Reynolds
Plantation, located between Atlanta and Augusta, is an 10,000-acre golf and lake
community boasting more than 80 miles of shoreline on beautiful Lake Oconee, one
of the largest lakes in the southeast.
Named “Best of the Best” Golf Community by The Robb Report, Reynolds
Plantation features 81 holes of championship golf on four distinct courses, with
a fifth course currently under construction. Award-winning dining, swimming pools,
tennis, walking trails, two full-service marinas, and a myriad of social and
recreational activities round out the amenities enjoyed by members of the
community.
Golf : Golf at Reynolds is truly special – but it is not just
the quality of golf that makes it so, but the diversity of the courses. This is great for members – having world-class courses by Jack
Nicklaus, Bob Cupp, Tom Fazio, and Rees Jones means not having to keep playing
the same course. Plus, memberships
are a value, with a fully refundable initiation. A fifth course, which will be for
members-only, is being designed by noted architect Jim Engh and will open in
early 2007.
Amenities: Lake Oconee is one of the largest lakes in the
Southeast, and Reynolds Plantation has over 80 miles along its shoreline. The
golf course designers made great use of the lake, and so do residents – with
out-of-water storage for over 300 watercraft, a boat is a phone call away. Lake Oconee Village, at the entrance to
Reynolds Plantation, offers shopping, dining, professional and medical
facilities, while the late-2005 opening of the Lake Club offers a wellness
center, indoor and outdoor pools, a tennis complex and member meeting facilities
in a scenic lakefront setting.
Location: Reynolds Plantation is
about an hour from Augusta, Athens (University of Georgia) and Atlanta (one of
the world’s most popular airports); 7 miles from Interstate
20.
Vacations: On a secluded peninsula overlooking Lake Oconee sits the
majestic Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation. Named a top 20 golf resort in the world
by Conde Nast Traveler and the 7th best hotel in North America in Travel &
Leisure magazine’s “World’s Best 2004 issue”, the Lodge’s 251 rooms offer guests
a world class spa, private beach, and a choice of fine, casual and lakefront
dining. With southern hospitality
combining with the standards of service that have made Ritz-Carlton world
renowned, The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation provides a warm welcome to
those visiting the community. For
vacation information, visit ritzcarltonlodge.com.
Real Estate: Since 1987, over
2,300 properties have been sold, but over half of Reynolds Plantation remains
undeveloped. In 2004, Reynolds
Plantation had their third consecutive record real estate sales year. One of 2004’s real estate triumphs was
the building and grand opening of the first-ever Golf Magazine Dream House
(www.golfdreamhouse.com), where Reynolds was honored to host the magazine’s
“ultimate home for a golfer”.
Reynolds Plantation offers a variety of
homes, homesites, cottages and vacation condominiums with views of the lake, the
golf courses, or in a wooded setting.
