The five-time major winner has several special connections to the Palm Springs area. For one, the longtime Southern California resident began the tradition of the Kraft Nabisco Championship winner jumping into the lake next to the 18th green after she won in 1988. Later, she teamed up with Casey O'Callaghan to design the South course at the Indian Canyons Golf Resort in Palm Springs.
