Pros have long been able to switch out shafts quickly before a tournament with
the help of equipment vans. Amateurs now have the same luxury (minus the vans),
thanks to a rules change allowing for more adjustability.

Evolver driver is one of the first clubs to take advantage of the modification
regulation. The club comes with two UST V2 shafts—in mid and high-launch
versions—but consumers can order pretty much any shaft they want. Swapping
shafts is easy, and there is a noticeable effect on ball flight—“I could see
myself changing out the shaft based on the course and conditions,” says a 6.
Although there was little effect on launch angle according to the test
numbers, the high-launch shaft did provide more backspin, resulting in a higher
